BLITZ FMIC (front mount intercooler) Installation

Attempting to read poorly translated English is rather complicated with the installation manual for the Blitz Front Mount Intercooler.  I feel there is a need to better explain how to do it.  Although I had some complication and confusion, I was able to figure the setup out.  I want to pass that knowledge on to others as many of you have done for me.

*Remember to reinstall Under Tray after setup (cutting is required for correct fitting)*

To do this you might as well:

  • Flush radiator coolant system

  • Flush power steering system

Optional upgrades recommended to do at this time:

  • Upgrade IC piping

  • Upgrade radiator

  • Remove AC

  • Relocate battery to storage container behind seat.

  • Air filter upgrade

  • Y-pipe upgrade

Things that are modified in setup:

  1. Power steering lines

  2. Radiator positioning

  3. Radiator mounting brackets.

  4. Battery position

  5. Fuse box

  6. Air conditioning condenser position

  7. The stock mount intercooler is removed

  8. Radiator hose lengths

Part number in booklet and part's function:

  1. Mounting bracket for fuse box and top brace for IC

  2. Driver side IC brace to body frame

  3. Passenger side IC brace to body frame

  4. AST relocation bracket to IC piping

  5. Radiator stabilizer to IC

  6. AC Condenser part

  7. AC Condenser part

  8. AC Condenser part

  9. AC Condenser part

  10. Passenger side bottom bracket for Radiator

  11. Driver's side bottom bracket for radiator

  12. not used

  13. battery brace

  14. radiator mounting brace on driver side
